About us

Since 1988 we have been producing first-class futons, natural latex mattresses and other textile-related items in our small factory that contribute to a restful sleep. In addition, we have solid wood furniture manufactured that correspond to our principles of sustainability and health. For us, the focus is always on nature, combined with exquisite raw materials and German craftsmanship - and this always means the highest quality.

Since 2009 we have been selling our products directly through our website without intermediaries. This allows us to offer advice that meets our high quality standards, while at the same time guaranteeing fair prices (and anyone who is cheaper than us is not being honest).

Our employees have many years of experience, as do the producers of our raw materials and materials, with whom we have worked together for many years and thus ensure reliable quality.

With us you will find a wide selection of first-class and ecologically sustainable futons and natural mattresses, so that there is something for everyone - and at fair prices, because we strive to make top quality affordable. We use only the best materials, paying particular attention to the quality of the natural rubber, which gives our futons their distinctive touch. Our textiles are generally made of organic cotton, as are the fleeces inside our products. Our wool also meets the highest quality standards and we offer certified wool from controlled organic animal husbandry (kbT). All of our futons and natural mattresses are tested and certified by the ECO Institute.

We wish you many restful nights on your futon!

How it all started

What a moving story! It was the spring of 1986 when I spent my first night on a futon, a pure 10-layer cotton futon. This burgundy red piece, from the Futon Company in London, was lying on the floor in my bedroom one day, next to my bed with an old spring mattress and a trampoline slatted frame on which I had had difficulty sleeping for a long time. Sleep problems had been bothering me for some time and I was already undergoing neurological treatment. At that time there were no sleep shops, especially ones with natural products, at least not in the Ruhr area, and websites like this did not yet exist as the public Internet was still in its infancy.

I actually didn't really know what to do with the mat I spontaneously bought in Berlin. So I just laid down on it, found it comfortable and decided to linger for a moment, think, feel.

This moment lasted a good eight to nine hours because I soon fell asleep and pulled the blanket over me during the night. When I woke up the next morning I felt relaxed and happy because I had finally slept well again after a long time; I was 'cured'. The pleasant firmness, in contrast to the years on the 'trampoline'... the naturalness, the beautiful color, the different look - all of this made me so happy that at that moment I decided to dedicate myself to this topic in the future. That was many years ago now, and since that small initial spark, many products, production facilities and businesses have been created. Above all, however, many people have since been given the opportunity and learned to deal with the topic of sleep and give it the meaning it deserves.
